JAINITUOS ANIME REVIEWS – CHAINSAW MAN – チェンソーマン – EPISODE VII – HOW DID I FELT ABOUT THE EPISODE

Chainsaw Man

Episode 7

Hello my friends. Welcome to another post on my blog, and this time, I bring you my opinion on Episode VII of Chainsaw Man.

First of all, I want to apologize for taking me so long to write this post, but I was very busy with work, I had to work six days a week due to an emergency, but now I’m free, and I take this opportunity to tell you that I just saw Episode VIII – The Last Denji. And what an episode! But first, let’s get things right and talk about Episode VII – The Denji Awakens… more or less.

Enough already! Enough of the Star Wars references, now let’s sharpen the chainsaw.

But first, I must ask you the usual question.

Are you guys ok? Feeling healthy?

If the answer is yes, then I am happy.

Now… let’s move on to Chainsaw Man.

EPISODE VII – RETURN OF THE DENJI

The episode begins with Denji recriminating Aki for getting in the way of being stabbed, but far from doing it out of malice, it reminds him a lot of the debt his father left him with the yakuza.

Having said that, he proceeds to pull the rope on his chest and launch himself squarely against the Eternity Devil. And at the same time that we see, again, a spectacular animation by studio MAPPA, the third ending as background music. remember? Which for me is the second best ending of the Chainsaw Man anime.

And is not for less. – The third ending theme, Hawatari 2 Oku-senchi is the personification of everything that Chainsaw Man is , and Fujimoto-sensei’s vision, art, genius, and a lot of violence, which by the way this battle does not skimp on it.

But that’s what makes it so entertaining, because it’s not afraid to show the brutality of the moment, in a way it reminds me of Saving Private Ryan and its graphic portrayal of war. I wonder if Fujimoto-sensei loves that movie too.

Of course, Himeno, Kobeni and Arai are horrified.

Unfortunately, for Denji, the Eternity Devil takes a lot of his blood, causing his chainsaws to wear off. What’s more, Power herself mentions what is happening.

And look at that pretty nightmare face! Courtesy of the Eternity Devil.

All seems lost until Denji has an idea – to consume the blood of the Eternity Devil, to heal himself and attack again with more force than before. And at this point, the utter loss of Denji’s humanity is shown, since, despite the fact that the Eternity Devil’s blood is sh*t, it has a rich flavour thanks to allowing him to suffer a great bulk of agony.

Simply put, Denji is overjoyed at the grotesque spectacle.

And again, we get an appearance from one of my favourite Chainsaw Man characters, Kishibe, giving us another taste of his «wisdom». That devils only fear the most deranged Devil Hunters, explaining that Himeno’s former companions died precisely because they were sane, and they feared the attack of devils.

But on the other hand, the devils fear those who are mad because it is impossible to know how they think, how to attack them.

The point is, Kishibe leaves, leaving Himeno on her own, but not before asking her to train Aki well, and although Himeno says she’ll take her time, Kishibe tells her she can’t, because Aki is still sane, and she can let the devils kill him.

Faced with this bleak outlook, Himeno proposes to Aki that they become a civilian hunter, so they don’t have to search for the Gun Devil and risk death, but Aki rejects that offer.

Although I have to be honest, seeing Himeno smoking in this scene makes it so much more beautiful.

At once I anticipate that, thanks to this episode, Himeno has already far surpassed Makima as my favourite waifu. A very unpopular opinion, I know, but a very honest one. And if it’s not her, in the end it will be Power.

Returning to the present, the Eternity Devil nearly kills Denji, but thanks to the Ghost Devil, Himeno manages to pull his heartstring and wake him up.

And that’s when Denji comes up with the best idea of all – drinking his enemy’s disgusting blood, hundreds of times, as many times as it takes, to heal and keep cutting him, causing the devil so much pain that it will want to beg to die. .

But what really makes me laugh is that Denji mentions winning the Nobel Prize that way.

And I already imagine it!

DENJI WINS NOBEL PRIZE FOR KICK BOXING.

Or the one of Peace?

And as a sample of Himeno’s beauty! That excited face! Again… more beautiful and charismatic than Makima herself.

The thing is, the battle continues for three days, and everyone is tired, while Himeno goes to check on Aki.

Meanwhile, the Eternity Devil gives up and is thus killed by Denji.

Oh my gosh! For that alone, I would give Denji the Nobel Peace Prize! And really, what Denji did was an incredible feat! If I were Makima, I’d hug, french-kiss him, and have sex with Denji, all after giving him a Medal.

Here Denji! For your heroics, I give you… a Stella.

Not for nothing, Denji ended up passed out and in the hospital.

Although it seems that Aki did not need it, since after a few days, he returns to the service in the company of Himeno, who proposes to have a baby shower, to celebrate that Denji got Himeno pregnant. Nope! It’s a joke! What happens is that she believes that Division Four has never met to meet, and also because, according to her, both Kobeni and Arai are sorry for trying to kill Denji.

Oh! Of course! Now that the danger is over, they feel bad. Of course! Well, in real life, people are like that, so I don’t know why I blame them, although I still think Arai is a clown. And Kobeni still has a lot to give.

The funny thing is that even Aki «rebukes» Himeno for suggesting killing Denji. no matter! Even so, Himeno… I do forgive you.

What’s more, I’m going to take this wise advice.

Thank you Himeno! I hope one day, to be the SIMP you deserve, or the one you are looking for.

Damn you Himeno! I’m already so in love with you, and with Aki, and now you want my heart to break out with your beautiful smile. The thing is, Aki ends up agreeing, on the condition that it be this week, because Makima will be leaving for Kyoto soon, and with that, Himeno asks the million dollar question.

Two million dollar questions.

With that, we finally move on to the beautiful restaurant scene, where all the members of Division 4 gather to be friends. And I remember this week of the manga very well, but the anime adds this endearing human touch that characterizes the animations of MAPPA. I’m going to say it in case it wasn’t clear!

Tatsuki Fujimoto and MAPPA – Winning Combination.

That and the fact that Poderosa hogs the sashimi.

But. Whoa! Look at pretty Kobeni, with her cute little clothes, her girlish beret and her beautiful face. He opened my heart. Kobeni… All forgiven! Although it will not be so for Power if you steal her fried chicken.

At once, I say that this scene is very beautiful, seeing the members of the Fourth Division socializing like this and being friends is very endearing, and seeing Denji, Kobeni and Power happy for the food makes me very happy – the three of them love it deserve. Thanks to the menu though, Denji remembers something very important – that debts to Himeno should not be forgotten.

Therefore Himeno agrees to kiss Denji, after being drunk, at the same time that Denji forgives her for suggesting to kill him.

Did I say the scene was beautiful? Well, with the introductions of Denji, Kobeni and… for some reason, Arai make it even better. But I say right away; Arai still disgusts me, I don’t care that his hobby is Haiku.

The interesting thing is that he also has a contract with the Fox Devil, just like Aki, who reveals that he is friendly with humans, and even more so with Devil Hunters, with whom he has entered into many contracts.

However, we soon remember that Devil Hunters may die soon, thanks to one of the guests, Fushi, saying that his partner, another rookie, passed away the day before, and this expression of Kobeni’s says it all.

Luckily Himeno always breaks the tension, especially with the idea of the kiss.

Just when Makima finally arrives. Hey! One moment.

Isn’t this Devil Hunter supposed to take off her tie? Why does she suddenly have her back? Does she have a contract with the Ghost Devil or what? This is very weird!

And here is the best part of the bar scene! Let the images speak for themselves!

It’s seriously a lot of fun to see Denji in that dilema. But then we go to boring Aki, who starts questioning Makima about Denji and his identity. And Makima is willing to answer Aki, on one simple condition.

And with that, the party is finally set, especially since Power seems to have developed an addiction to the local food.

Reminds me of me at work parties! But one thing is for sure, Makima deserves a bottomless pit from Duffman, and Power regales us with her brain’s most important revelation – her IQ.

Worthy of a Nobel Prize!

But you know what’s as good as the Nobel Prize? Taste Himeno’s sweet tongue!

Yes! Finally Himeno kisses Denji with her little tongue, just as she promised. Incredible! I’ve seen a lot of hentai in my life, especially Shoujo Sect, Boku to Nurse, and Amakano , but I think this kiss beats those by far. Powerful, incredible, and really erotic, or at least in the first ten seconds.

Ladies and gentlemen! Before you… one of the most disgusting scenes in anime in general.

Yes. Himeno vomits into Denji’s mouth. Hmm! Premium vomit! Freshly baked from the factory of filth, with its lubricated acids and drooling bits of food. Ugh! Gross! One thing that does make me laugh is that the vomiting is censored. Come on! It’s the bloody Chainsaw Man! They show all the violence, gore and blood they want, but a vomit is consored. It’s as if I censor myself when I say F*CK, but not when I say SHIT. And I don’t remember if that happens in the manga, but I would swear it doesn’t. I understand that this was done because of the time the Episode premiered in Japan, and I respect that. But when they release the Chainsaw Man Blu-Ray, they will no longer have a reason to continue with the censorship.

The point is that the scene provokes very mixed reactions, Makima asks for tissues to clean, Kobeni is disgusted, and as always Power giving very funny comments.

Hey Power! I’m not a doctor, but I think that’s called eating or drinking depending the case..

And worse still… Denji swallows the vomit. Ugh!

Then we go back in time, when Denji was a kid and he rummaged through the garbage to eat a good burger, and with Pochita, he sees some rats eating someone else’s vomit, which provokes him to make fun of it, and a very cool comment .

But then we’re back to the present, when Denji…well…does what anyone would do after swallowing someone else’s vomit against his will.

Arai ends up helping him, and reveals that he is envious of Denji, who immediately questions him, saying a line that broke my heart.

Seriously, Denji’s bad luck is relentless. His childhood was already horrible because of the yakuza, and now he must endure having his first kiss stained with dirt, both literally and metaphorically. And it breaks my heart because Denji isn’t bad – he’s impulsive, perverted and kind of violent, but he’s not bad. And maybe, no matter how many good deeds you do, life always seems to want to give you nothing but horrible moments, always against your will.

And after seeing Arai help Denji like this, I have to say that the character doesn’t disgust me as much as before. What’s more, I’m even starting to like him better. My respects.

Anyway, soon after Himeno takes him home, and… Despite what happened to Denji, Himeno gives him a beer kiss!

And you can tell she’s still drunk, because she asks Denji why he’s at her house. And after some hijinks and gibberish, Himeno ends up with a proposal that I sincerely hope Denji won’t turn down.

We all know what he’s talking about. And not just because we read the manga.

And with Himeno delighting us with her sensual lingerie, we finish this chapter.

CONCLUSION

Another great chapter of this great anime. It goes without saying, but this particular episode is divided into two parts, one that is the end of the battle against the infamous Eternity Devil, and another that is the restaurant, and although the first one is spectacular, it means that the restaurant scene should come flat. Both have their strengths, which we can all enjoy equally.

But one thing is for sure, thanks to this chapter, Himeno became my favourite waifu, far surpassing Makima herself, and that is that even in the ending, Himeno looks much more beautiful than Makima.

Speaking of the ending, I liked that eighties lo-fi style that they put on it, although the song is not that good. Really. Why do they have such a hard time getting past Chainsaw Blood and Demon, in the name of Devil? I’ll never know, but a part of me feels like maybe they shouldn’t have so many endings, even Dorohedoro had three songs per ending by my count, and that was enough.

Still, it is enjoyed.

Well, I hope you enjoyed reading my review as much as I enjoyed writing it. And go buy a box of tissues, because when we talk about Episode VIII, we’re going to need it.

Until next time.

JAINITUOS ANIME REVIEWS – CHAINSAW MAN – チェンソーマン – EPISODE 6 – HOW I FELT ABOUT THIS EPISODE

CHAINSAW MAN

EPISODE VI

MAPPA STUDIO

Hello my friends. Welcome to another post on my blog.

And now, I bring you another review of this beautiful anime that is on everyone’s lips, this beautiful anime called… CHAINSAW MAN.

And I finally got to watch Episode VI, and after doing so, I can only realize one thing… Chainsaw Man is getting better and better, and the more I see, or remember the story as the case may be, the more I admire Tatsuki Fujimoto. I already want to read Fire Punch and Goodbye , Eri , but until then, I’m going to start by giving my opinion on this fantastic episode, which I think is one of the best, and also one of the most intense of the series, although I’ll be advancing that perhaps not everyone is happy with some points in the story, I just hope to be as eloquent as possible to avoid that, in the very long, long term, they end up canceling me.

I don’t know why I decided to mention it, but I still do it just in case. Having said this, I ask you the usual question.

Are you guys ok? Feeling healthy?

If the answer is yes, then I’m happy.

Now, we are going to play with the chainsaws, with this Episode VI.

EPISODE VI

As we saw at the end of the previous episode, Arai went downstairs, confirming that regardless of whether they go up or down, Aki , Denji , Himeno , Power , Kobeni , and Arai are locked in the eighth floor. Despite this, Himeno makes Kobeni make her iconic image of the Peace symbol in both hands while all her terror is evident on her face, before going downstairs.

And after a very funny moment from Kobeni , Aki tells Himeno what we all already knew, that this is the power of the damn demon. And once again, Aki looks divine in this image. Shortly after, both Aki and Denji discover, after entering the alcoves and «going out», or «entering» through the window, depending on your point of view, they will appear in the room on the other side. Without a doubt, Denji can explain it better.

At that, they meet in a room to analyze the situation, and all I can say is…

“What the hell is Denji doing lying on the bed? It’s not like they were on vacation»

They can’t even get out through the roof, because that will only get them to the same floor. Still, we get a comedic moment from our favorite duo , as Denji suggests that Power is to blame for killing the demon from earlier. So Power does what he does best… Lie and blame Denji .

Shebus! The faces they make are to kill me with laughter, but don’t worry, these two are going to entertain us much more.

Oh! By the way, I have my opinion about Kobeni and his actions, but more on that later.

And no. It seems that the Demon of Guns has nothing to do with it, even so, thanks for the grotesque image that that bullet with veins, which… since I have a dirty imagination, I will say that it looks like a micro-penis, more phallic than I should mention . And again, Denji and Power have very funny faces.

What is not so funny is what comes next, because we have a Kobeni moment that breaks my heart, and that is that Arai tells us that she wants to send her brother to university, that’s why I accept the Devil Hunter job, Because, I don’t think I mentioned it before, but they pay very well.

I wish I could apply for that job, I wouldn’t mind the risks. The fact is that Kobeni says that she was forced to work in this profession by her parents, and it was that, or be a prostitute.

And it is worth knowing that Kobeni ‘s relationship was disastrous, but… Oh my gosh! Poor girl! When the world of Chainsaw Man takes a swipe at someone, they do it in a big way. And if not, ask Denji .

(laughs) And by the way… What the hell is wrong with Power ? What else… What’s wrong with me? Power laughs at Kobeni ‘s expression , and I laughed too because I know Power is Power . Didn’t I tell you that you would regal us with more of your nonsense?

This reminds me of the Futurama episode, where Bender has an affair with the Planet Express Ship (It sounds dirtier when I say it), and when Leela complains to the latter for cutting her off when she got bored of her, he only laughs louder.

Then Himeno reminds Kobeni that demons like the fear of humans. And… to be honest, I am very touched that Himeno comforts Kobeni like this.

Although I am also aware that many will think that I should not be so soft on Kobeni . Anyway!

But soon Aki reminds us that the situation is much worse than we thought, because all the clocks are stopped at 8:18. And do you know what that means? That the devil, whoever he is, has cut them off from the outside world, so no one will come to their rescue. They only have two options – either kill the demon, or starve to death.

But according to… Who needs food when you have rich beds?

(laughter) I confess that I repeated this fragment many times, because I couldn’t stop laughing. A demon has trapped them and Denji only thinks about sleeping (laughs). And since we know that Denji is Denji , that makes it funnier, he just needed to say.

«Hey, mister demon, eat me tomorrow, I’ll take a little sleep right now.»

Because if! (laughter) Denji falls asleep, much to everyone’s surprise, and to my delight.

Although I’m surprised Aki didn’t try to wake him up, and just give us that amused expression.

After sleeping for who knows how many hours, Himeno wakes up Denji , and I have to say that his expression is very beautiful.

Calm down Jamie! Think about Yor , think about Yor . Very late! Now Himeno took over my thoughts. Once Denji wakes up, Himeno updates him on what’s going on, they found some food, that Aki is looking for the demon, that Kobeni lost her mind and Himeno had to knock her out, and Arai panicked and isolated himself in the room. .

Oh! I do not know what to think! So much bravado at the beginning of the mission and now it falls apart in a rough way. I already hate this character.

But hey… there’s only one question left… What happened to Power ? Well…

(laughter) (crazy laughter)

Let’s review what I just saw. Power says that she wants to win the Nobel Prize, and that with that, humans will respect her, and thanks to the Nobel, she will become prime minister… or rather dictator, and she will freeze us at 100% VAT. (Or GST depending on the country you are living in. (laughter)

Wow ! _ Really when I see that Power couldn’t get any funnier, I always exceeded my own expectations, and if it wasn’t for Power we’re talking about , I’d say he lost his mind.

Although, if I’m to be honest… I can’t imagine the category in which she would win the Nobel Prize. The most I can think of is in Physiology and Medicine, if she can use her blood to create a panacea, but… No! I don’t think Power has that intention. Or how about Literature? I already imagine his poetry.

“Humans… Rogues… I hate you so much,

It’s true that I hate them, but I realize

that I don’t like them. Humans… pathetic

I dream of making them suffer, but also… I dream

By giving them all kinds of pain. I am Power

Stronger than a Router .”

Or how about the Nobel Prize in Rap?

«My name is Power , blood is my strength

And I’ll break your arm until it’s a wrench

I want to kill bad demons

While I break your melons»

Although I think his government plan is better than almost 96% of today’s politicians.

Vote Power! Gimme your power, for I am Power!

Okay. Enough fooling around!

Hours go by and after a while, Denji finds out that Himeno smokes the same brand as Aki , and the reason is very simple – she was the one who introduced him to the rich taste of nicotine. And immediately we are transported to the past, shortly after Kishiba paired Aki and Himeno . It is seen that the poor man is still very traumatized by the death of his family, although Himeno advises him to relax a bit, especially since she knew beforehand that Aki wants to kill the Gun Devil.

But she doesn’t care, because she knows that Devil Hunters don’t usually live long, so… Why smoke a cigarette ?

And the way that Mariya Ise interpreted that line makes it sound very deep, even though it’s very basic dialogue.

But just when I thought the life of Devil Hunters couldn’t get any more depressing, thanks to Himeno , we learn from the part of the relatives. It turns out that the girlfriend of a former classmate of hers hit him in the face, and according to Himeno , the relatives cannot take revenge on the demons, so they take it out on her.

Naturally Aki witnesses everything. And what does it do? He sticks a piece of gum to the woman’s clothes, saying that he is furious and that he deserved it.

And what a beautiful smile that Himeno gave us !

Shortly after the two go to eat, and again, we have a fantastic reference to Kishibe .

In the end, Aki and Himeno improve their relationship, and she gives him a cigarette. We flash back to the present, and Aki asks Himeno to share her cigarette.

And that reaction from Denji !

But there’s a problem. The demon that Power killed is alive and got bigger.

And I couldn’t help but wonder… Aki … You couldn’t say that right away? Did you have to wait to smoke a cigarette? oh! Does not matter! But as if things couldn’t be more indigestible, this… thing makes an offer to the Devil Hunters, that it will let them escape in exchange for it being able to eat Denji . Then Kobeni comes out to say.

«Never. I won’t let you eat Denji . I fell in love with him, I love him, I’m going to have his baby, buy a house and start a family with him.»

Nope! It’s a joke! Two pictures are worth a thousand words.

But as expected, the other Devil Hunters neutralize Kobeni , and I don’t know what else repulses me the most .

Kobeni ‘s actions or the Devil himself. But no, I won’t say what I think yet, I’ll wait a little longer. Aki tries to call the Fox Demon to kill the spawn, but it’s not possible because they are isolated, so we go to one of the best moments of the episode, Himeno calls the Ghost Devil and gives the spawn a good beating, and I have to say that seeing him suffer was very satisfying.

But then it doesn’t do much good, as he gets bigger, revealing that his real body isn’t on the eighth floor.

And after insisting on the contract, Denji doubts his words, but Himeno reveals that, when making a contract with a demon, both parties must fulfill it, since, if not, the punishment is death, so it is possible. Get away with Denji ‘s death .

I’m not suggesting it! Not like Arai ! Excellent! So much macho and now he turns out to be a traitor. And… The way you say it makes me think you’re suggesting lying to Makima and Public Security about what happened. Really! I hate this character already!

Luckily Power is here to kill me with laughter, insisting on the Nobel Prize,

but hey, it won’t work, because the Fiends can’t make contracts with Demons, according to Aki , luckily Power doesn’t care, that… or he’s very little attention.

Time passes, and Aki suggests using her sword, which Himeno , for some reason, disapproves of. And well… I want to think that he was joking when he suggested Denji ‘s death . But calm down! There’s more room for Power nonsense ! Because Arai finds out that Power ate the food I mentioned earlier, and she again blames it on Denji , when it’s obvious that she did.

Really. I don’t know what to think, so I’ll say it. Power …never change.

Kobeni returns , and I say unfortunately, because now he is complicating everything. First, he blames Power for what is happening, and then accuses Arai of being a spy , which Power takes advantage of to say mischief.

But, seriously. Don’t f*ck me girl! Don’t f*ck me! Anxiety caused by fear, worries and uncertainty is one thing… And delusions are another thing! Anyway, thanks to the fear of these two, the Demon increased its size again, forcing Aki , Denji and Himeno to run for their lives, and finally the identity of this monstrosity is revealed to us.

Ladies and gentlemen! Before you… The Eternity Devil.

(sigh) And after being tortured by Kobeni and Arai ‘s pleas to kill Denji , Aki prepares to use her sword, but again, Himeno won’t let her. It is more than evident that something terrible will happen if Aki uses her sword, and it is, because, according to Himeno , Aki will see her life shortened if she uses her sword, I see that she wants him to have a long life.

But that doesn’t stop Aki … from being stabbed by Kobeni when she tried to kill Denji . And all I can say is that the sequence is very painful, not just that image, and I’ll explain why.

First, seeing Himeno ‘s horrified face reflected in Aki ‘s blood breaks my heart…

…second, because Aki reveals that, despite hating Denji , he wants him alive because they are both seeking the same thing – the death of the Gun Demon. , that Aki feels powerless against such an enemy, therefore, he needs Denji . Nope! It’s up to Denji ! And it is more than obvious that, with his words, he is letting go of the pain of losing his family. But that’s not the only thing, Himeno seems to relive, through the Devil Hunters’ cemetery, her own traumas, falling into despair.

And this made me understand that maybe, maybe, Himeno suffers from PTSD.

The fact is that, after hearing Kobeni ‘s filthy whining , Denji agrees to be swallowed by the Demon of Eternity, so he turns into a chainsaw and throws himself into the monster’s mouth, but not before reminding Himeno of the tongue kiss . which he will give if Denji comes back alive.

And with this great image of Denji , the chapter ends.

CONCLUSION

uff !!! I finished. Finally I finished! I think it’s one of the longest entries I’ve done in my life. But yes, as I already said, he had a lot to say. Once again… What a great episode! It has it all, gore, comedy, drama, writing, characters, and guts, everything you’d expect from Chainsaw Man . I already want to see Episode VII.

Again, Aki , great character that she is, manages to give us more fantastic moments, stronger than before; Denji and Power steal the show with their nonsense, it’s going to be hard to forget them, and thanks to this episode, I love Himeno more , but I can’t say the same about Arai – the character is disgusting! If in the previous chapter he seemed unbearable, here I want to see him dead. He gives them the macho, but ends up being a pushover. I’m not promising my impression of him will improve, however, I’ll try to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Oh, Kobeni ! I have mixed feelings, because, on the one hand, I sympathize with her very f* cked -up background , and I understand that she’s traumatized, but seriously, trying to use her head a little. Can you really trust that demon? And that accusing your partner of being a spy was ridiculous. I repeat, I don’t care what happens to Arai , but from the way Kobeni reacted at that moment, it makes me think that he did it more out of malice than anything else.

And finally, the ending – Dainō-tekina Rendezvous» (大脳的なランデブー) by Kanaria , is good, but i think i will remember plus for the visual than for the music . Tell me your what they think

Anyway, here is my entry, I hope you liked it, and see you next time… See you later!

JAINITUOS ANIME REVIEWS – CHAINSAW MAN – チェンソーマン- EPISODIO 6 – CÓMO ME SENTÍ CON ESTE EPISODIO

CHAINSAW MAN

EPISODIO 6

CHAINSAW MAN.

Mentir y culpar a Denji.

¡Cielos!

Y si no, pregúntele a Denji.

¡Vaya! ¡Yo no sé qué pensar!

¡No! No creo que Power tengan esa intenciones. ¿O qué tal Literatura? Ya me imagino su poesía.

“Humanos… Bellacos… Los odio mucho,

es cierto que los odio, pero me doy cuenta

de que no me caen bien. Humanos… patéticos

Sueño con hacerlos sufrir, pero también… sueño

Con darles todo tipo de dolores. Soy Power

Con más fuerza que un Router.”

¿O qué tal Premio Nobel de Rap?

“Me llamo Power, la sangre es mi fuerza

Y te rompo el brazo hasta que se tuerza

Quiero matar demonios malos

¡Vote Power!

¡Gimme your power, for I am power!

Bueno.

Y no pude evitar preguntarme… Aki… ¿No pudiste decir eso inmediatamente? ¿Tuviste que esperar a fumarte un cigarrillo? ¡Ah! Entonces Kobeni sale a decir.

“Nunca. No dejaré que te comas a Denji. Me enamoré de él, lo amo, voy a tener a su bebé, comprar una casa y formar una familia con él.”

¡No!

¡No me j*d*s niña! ¡No me j*d*s!

¡No!

JAINTIUOS ANIME REVIEWS – CHAINSAW MAN – チェンソーマン – EPISODE V – HOW I FELT ABOUT THE EPISODE

Hello my friends, Welcome to another entry of my blog.

And today I bring you my opinion about Episode V of everyone’s favorite anime today… Chainsaw Man.

Again, I apologize in advance, because I am still preparing my reflection on Episode III, I am still working on it, but until then, I will carry out my thoughts on Episode V, and the truth is that I quite liked it, although I already know what was happening honest, because I read the manga, I hoped that it would not be frantic like the other two, but that is only my opinion, what I am going to share now, you can read it and then draw your own conclusions.

But before I begin my entry, I must ask everyone the typical question.

Are you guys ok? Feeling healthy?

If the answer is yes, then I am happy, now… To sharpen the chainsaws with Episode V of Chainsaw Man.

EPISODE V

Again, we have Power rewarding Denji with that long-cherished dream of his, touching a girl’s breasts, but in this case, Power will allow Denji to touch them three times – the first time for rescuing Nyakko , the second time for killing the Demon of the Bats, and the third for saving her. And… it shows that Denji was about to charge while Power was at his feet… more or less.

Anyway, Denji starts to grope them, but Power ‘s initial moans are so fake that they even make me laugh, as well as those faces, although not as much as the revelation that Power uses pads on her breasts to make them bigger. And one thing I also value is that this part feels more natural in the anime. The truth is that I felt it was more comical in the manga, a sample of Fujimoto- sensei ‘s genius.

Now Denji has two gropes left. That zombie pose! Now I wonder who the real Zombie Devil is!

Despite Denji ‘s inhibitions touching Power ‘s breasts, there is something off about what happened. And that’s not what I mean! That horrible empty feeling when you achieve a goal after your heart is fed by those rich illusions.

For her part, Power is happy, and it shows that there is now an evolution in their friendship. Level Up ! Power Up !

The fact is that for the next few days, Denji is very abstracted, not even Power ‘s funny pranks make him come to his senses.

And again Makima must come to the rescue of our chainsaw boy!

Denji explains to Makima that touching breasts was no big deal, and he wonders if, once he has another wish, what really counts is the path itself and not the goal, which he thinks, in simple terms… Complete sh*t! So Makima explains to Denji that the more you understand the person, the better the sexual act, but understanding the person is more complicated than it seems, so Makima tells him to start by touching his hand, to know what long the fingers are, the temperature of the palm, and the ears.

But the really epic here is when Makima bites Denji ‘s fingers. And our boy is more than satisfied!

Wow! Makima just needs a lesson for Denji to know what love is. This is a great merit. And I have to say that the quality of the images is very good. Kudos to Studio MAPPA ! That is quality for you.

There is an image of this same segment that is this one, which I swear I thought was another one made by Studio MAPPA. And I’m glad that ‘s not the case! Not because it is bad, but because it is seen to be much inferior to what MAPPA has been offering us up to now.

Here is the image.

And then… Jackpot!

Denji touched Makima ‘s breasts. Ladies and gentlemen! Our Denji has become a young adult! He just needs to graduate as a man!

Seriously!! That reaction from Denji is simply priceless.

I read on the Internet that many criticised the adaptation of this scene for considering it more «erotic» than comical, a feeling that was perceived in the manga, although not from my part. I admit that it had awkward moments, but it seemed very well directed. By the way, here is the link to the page where they made the criticism, as a sign that I wasn’t making anything up.

WARNING – The link is in Spanish.

The fact is that shortly after Makima asks Denji to kill the infamous Gun Devil, one of the most powerful demons that exists, so much so that all Devil Hunters want him dead, and so much so that even the lesser Demons «beg” for a part of its strength.

Aw! Look at our cute Denji! He’s excited!

And of course, because Makima said that if Denji killed the Gun Devil, he would grant him any wish, even sex.

Soon after, Makima explains to Denji that due to an increase in the sale of guns and firearms in the Devil Hunter trade, there has been an increase in crime, and in the terror of firearms. Nothing further from fiction!

And then Makima says that the Gun Devil appeared after a terrible terrorist attack in the United States with firearms.

But… who are they kidding! We all know what attack he is talking about! I won’t say more about it.

We then have a flashback to Aki ‘s past, the same day the Gun Devil appeared.

It turns out that his brother, Taiyo, was very sick, even so, he wanted to play with Aki. The two brothers play and have fun with the snow. A very beautiful scene! I had a feeling they would have a great time, especially when Aki suggests Taiyo play ball and sent him to get his glove.

And everything seemed to be going well, but since it is the insane world of Chainsaw Man, it does not take long for tragedy to happen.

Not only from Aki , but also 1.2 million people were brutally killed by the Gun Devil.

The thing is that Denji ends up accepting Makima’s request. I actually find it very cute to see Denji regain his enthusiasm! Makima shows Denji a part of the Gun Devil’s body, if the demons eat from it, they will become more powerful.

Ew! _ It is true that they are basically magnetic bullets, but that image is still grotesque, just like the Devil himself. Yes! I’ve seen your appearance! I won’t reveal it here, but believe me … It’s disgusting.

Thanks to that, I can now better understand that the threat from the Devils is much worse than I thought.

And by the way… is it me or is this a reference to Junji Ito ‘s Gyo ? Well done Fujimoto-sensei !

Soon after, Makima sends Special Division Four to a motel, to kill another Devil who apparently consumed a bullet from the Gun Devil. And this group is made up of Aki, Denji, Himeno, Hirokazu Arai, Kobeni and Power.

Once again, Denji and Power steal the show. Aki scolds them for being rude, which they have now turned into a hobby, and all it took for Aki was a piece of bubble gum to calm these stray dogs.

But that is not all. Apparently Denji and Power played a very practical joke on Aki, and he is so furious that he could kill them. And he was dying of laughter! I can’t help but wonder what prank they pulled on him.

In fact! I’m interested in more than the appearance of the Demon to face.

But seeing Arai ‘s attitude , I thought… Ugh ! I’m not going to miss this guy.

Even Denji and Power seem calm, but deep down, they must want to eat Arai alive.

For her part, Himeno gets flirtatious, which is enough to motivate both Denji and Arai . And I still don’t understand whats’up with Himeno ‘s obsession with Kobeni! Is she in love with her or what? However, Denji does not accept. Again. What a good teacher Makima turned out to be!

But Himeno has a few more cards to play.

Watch out! Don’t be unfaithful to Makima ! And Arai… Eat me!

We then moved on to two things that I really enjoyed seeing. The first is the iconic graveyard of the Devil Hunters…

…and the second is the introduction of Kishibe, one of my favorite characters. 1. His iconic line –

Demons fear hunters with a couple of screws loose.

2. Your interpretation. Made by Kenjiro Tsuda, who is also The Beholder in To your Eternity, it’s flawless.

Kishibe introduces Himeno to his new partner, who is none other than Aki. And after revealing that he is his sixth partner, he asks him not to die. No… She orders him not to die!!!

Soon after, they find a grotesque demon with a capital G, which Power can easily kill.

Or at least it seems that way, because it turns out that the demon was left floating before Himeno, and she reveals that she made a contract with the Ghost Devil, who in exchange for giving Himeno her strength, consumed her right eye. But in return, Himeno can use the Devil’s right hand, which comes in handy to calm down Power, who cost a little dearly for a joke about killing Kobeni.

Again, Denji and Power ‘s reactions steal the show.

But… soon my laughter turned to fear, when, after a series of observations, Arai realises that they are trapped in that room. How did he know? Simple, because if you go down or up the stairs, you’ll reach the floor you were on, that is… floor eight.

And with Kobeni’s face of terror, we end this episode.

CONCLUSION

Wow! More to say than I thought. And what else should I say? Another great chapter of Chainsaw Man. We get a better look at Aki ‘s past, Denji ‘s development , Power ‘s genius and Makima ‘s great charisma . Although I have to say that Kobeni did not convince me, maybe she evolves later, but it’s not that she seems like the super character to me either. And as for Arai … I was left wanting to get kicked in the crotch! He earned it.

However, Himeno shone quite nicely, and despite the few seconds she looks like Kishibe , seeing him on screen was delightful. Proof that they are two of the greatest Chainsaw Man characters.

The ending was good, but I still stay with Chainsaw Blood , by Vaundy . But how good were the MC Escher references! Of course it shows what we are going to see in Episode VI But… Is it me or are there also references to Enter the Matrix?

But hey… Here I finish! I hope you liked my review , as much as I liked writing them. See you next time!

Chainsaw Man.

¡Level Up! ¡Power Up!

¡Kudos a Studio MAPPA!

Aw! Miren a nuestro lindo Denji!

¡A quién pretenden engañar!

¡He visto su apariencia!

CONCLUSION

Wow! Más pode decir de lo que pensaba. ¿Y qué más debo decir? Otro genial capítulo de Chainsaw Man.

JAINITUOS ANIME REVIEWS – CHAINSAW MAN – EPISODE 4 – HOW I FELT ABOUT THE EPISODE

Chainsaw Man

Episode IV

Hello my friends, welcome to another entry of my Blog.

Here I bring you my opinion about this new episode of this fantastic series that we all know as Chainsaw Man. In advance, I apologize for being inactive these days, but several things have happened to me that ended up taking up a lot of my time.

But now that I have a few more days off, I can now recover a bit and start drafting my thoughts on Chainsaw Man – Episode 4.

But before continuing, I must ask you the typical question

Are you guys ok? Feeling healthy?

If the answer is yes, then I am happy.

And now, we are going to play with chainsaws with Chainsaw Man.

By the way, I’ll get my thoughts on Episode III out soon, but first I’m doing Episode IV while my memory is fresh, so for those who want to wait, I recommend waiting for my Episode III review, and now, after so much talk, let’s go with Episode IV.

EPISODE IV

Once again, the Episode delights us with a flashback of Power before he joined Public Security, as he left and right slaughtered every living animal that crossed his path, all patiently waiting for Nyakko (or Meowy ), to grow up and he can eat it, in a scene that, in the clearest manga style, is violent and moving at the same time . And all that changes when the Bat Demon orders Power to bring a human to eat.

All of this makes Power question the purpose of what she’s doing, leading her to learn that blood is very warm. So she says. And this helped me empathize better with Power despite all the things he did in the previous episode; They are scenes, short in my opinion, but they really capture the essence of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s work.

From there we jump to the present moment, shortly after Denji defeated the Bat Demon and rescued both Power and Nyakko . And when she asks him why he did it, Denji , through subtle but magnificent body language, tells us his reasons. Though Power thinks it’s stupid, she agrees to let him grope her breasts.

But don’t party too much Denji ! Because then the Leech Demon will come to tear off your right hand.

The Demon is super furious that Denji killed her partner, even so, she is willing to let him go, but he will kill both Power and Nyakko, which Denji is not amused by. That’s how it goes my friend! Breasts are sacred! Up the Virgin of the Breastonality! With that, Denji fights with the Demon, but since he lost a lot of blood, he cannot transform into Chainsaw Man, meanwhile, the two share their dreams, Denji wanting to touch breasts and the Leech Demon devour humanity. This called Denji’s dream sucks. Shortly after, Denji remembers those who criticized his motivations, Power , Aki , and now a small-time demon. And if I’m being honest, I felt really bad for Denji , because in the end, he’s just a kid who was born and raised in sh*tty conditions, to put it mildly, something that wasn’t even his fault, and now he wants to have everything that denied her … More or less. So he’s basically saying, «F*ck it, you’ll see that my dream is better than yours.»

And once again, the animation stands out for being wonderful. My respects to MAPPA, far surpassing Jujutsu Kaisen and Attack on Titan: The Final Season . At the same time, it is true that Denji puts up a formidable fight, but it is not enough against the Demon of the Leeches , who is about to kill him.

Then comes that moment that can only be described as epic. Just one word was enough.

KON.

Aki arrives to summon the Demon of the Foxes, which exquisitely decapitates the Leech Demon.

Soon after, Aki ‘s squad arrives, Kobeni, Himeno and Hirokazu , who are to protect the civilians and assess the damage.

Aki then takes Denji, Power and Nyakko away, thus ending the battle.

Sometime later, we learn that Aki has a contract with the Devil of Foxes, because that’s what Devil Hunters do – they use the Devils to fight them. here He also says that for their actions, both Denji and Power could be executed, but there were no victims, so he forgives them, but forcing Denji to recognize him as his superior.

We also see that nice scene where the people that Denji saved want to thank him… Almost everyone.

And again the Episode delights us with that beautiful scene from Himeno, which, to be honest, I was looking forward to seeing. Beautiful! For real! But believe me, with her, the best is yet to come.

By the way… What a funny expression from Power in this scene! But hey… the best is yet to come.

Now, after Aki reports to Makima, and a beautiful presentation of Tokyo, according to Chainsaw Man, we see Aki ‘s morning routine, and I insist…

How beautiful he looks here with his hair down! He’s already on my 2022 husbando list. And even though they continue to dislike each other, Denji and Aki seem to get used to each other.

But later…

Zero Two ‘s cousin arrives to move in with them. Perfect comedy trio! Aki naturally complains to Makima , who simply tells her that he is the one she trusts the most, so without further ado, she ends up accepting.

My prince! You complain a lot to Denji for fantasizing about Makima , and now he’s the object of your dreams. The complete opposite of Power, who doesn’t eat her vegetables, doesn’t flush the toilet, and doesn’t take a bath. And those expressions of Denji and Aki are priceless, each one is better than the last.

Just look at Aki , you can tell he’s saying…why isn’t it Makima? Same as Denji.

Finally, despite his disgust at cleaning up Power ‘s feces, Denji gets excited about the breasts, hinting that Power also learned some pretty good hand gestures. And all I can say is…

First it was Aki! And now it’s Power!

Just look at that cute little face, so tender. Wouldn’t they forgive her if they saw her like this? Especially since she will let him touch her breasts three times.

And so ends Episode IV, with » Jōzai » (錠剤) by Tooboe

CONCLUSION

Alright!!! We can say that Episode IV was very entertaining, ending what would be the introduction arc of Power, the most powerful character in the anime (LOL) And unlike what happened with Episode III, both Denji and Power get along better, I think more than with Aki, and the battles were impeccable, great animation, excellent gore, many epic moments, and very funny comedy.

As I already said, Himeno looks very beautiful, both as Makima or Power , and you have no idea how much I waited to see the Demon of Foxes, not only did she appear in the trailer , but because her presence is spectacular, both in the manga and in the anime.

And before I let it go, the ending is pretty cool, but I still like the one from Episode III, » Hawatari 2 Oku- senchi » (刃渡り2億センチ), by Maximum the Hormone; however, you have to accept that the animation is very good; in fact, Jozai is on par with Hawatari 2 Oku-senchi when it comes to animation. Yes indeed! Seeing Power in those cosplays was just delightful.

And to my readers, I give you this reward. Nurses Makima and Power!

In a nutshell, here’s my list of endings , with the first being the best, and the fourth being the… decent.

  1. «Chainsaw Blood» by Vaundy
  2. Hawatari 2 Oku- senchi » (刃渡り2億センチ), from Maximum the Hormone / » Jōzai » (錠剤) by Tooboe
  3. » Zanki » (残機) by Zutomayo

I look forward to the Episode V, and how Already I said I will have ready my review of Episode III soon, until then , I hope there is enjoying this review _ _ Spanish , as well as me enjoyment in write it .

Happy November , my friends… And until next time .

IT’S JUNJI ITO TIME – SPLATTER FILM

Hey!! What time is it?

It’s Junji Ito Time.

Hello my friends. It has been one year since I wrote my last entry of It’s Junji Ito Time, and, personally, I want to thank all of you who have read my entries, because they have proved to be extremely popular. And, to be honest, I absolutely enjoyed writing about Junji Ito. And since it is Halloween month, it is a good opportunity to go back to this wonderful feeling.

Now, let’s go with Splatter Film

STORY

Splatter Film is the seventh and final story of the one-shot series of Junji Ito, New Voice in the Dark, a sequel of the 2002 series of stories, Voices in the Dark.

Splatter film starts with two stoners, Ogi and Sugio. Turns out that Ogi has returned from a trip from South America, and he has recollected some «special» honey and place it in a jar. Ogi revealed that the Natives worshipped the tree that produced that honey, to the point that they will risk their lives to get it.

Shortly afterwards, Ogi offers Sugio a lick, but warns him «not to get caught eating it.», some kind of warning from the place he got the honey. Sugio has his lick, and he finds the honey the most delicious thing he has ever tasted, much to Ogi’s surprise and horror, because Sugio asks for another bite in a pretty obsessed way, however Ogi denies it.

Some time after, Sugio does not enjoy the food as much as the honey. Then he brings his friends into Ogi’s house to get a bit of the honey. However, despite not finding Ogi, Sugio and his friends taste the honey; they also find some stench, and after inspecting the house, they find some «weird decoration» inside the house.

The decoration is a twisted mixture between fluids, fabric and bones. And after a close inspection, Sugio and his friends recognise that it may be Ogi; so after some debate, they leave his house along with the jar.

Sugio and his friends divide the honey in equal parts, but suddenly, one of them, a boy called Yasmin, literally splatters after eating the honey. Only that this time, everyone is witness of what happened.

Despite these tow horrific events, Sugio and group continue to eat the honey, until another of them, a girl called Riruko, «splatters», leaving the others in evident horror; after the third splat, Sugio deduces that it is, without a doubt, the honey. Sugio suggests that this could be some kind of «wrath of God», so he suggests stop eating th honey, or «the God with splattter them», but Kameda, one of the boys, discard that as a superstition.

Some days after, only three of the kids survived, Yue, Sugio And Kameda, but they are unable to eat other food, and quickly develop withdrawn symptoms due to stopping eating the honey; because of this, all of them start losing weight. Sugio reveals that the bodies of Riruko, Yasmin and Ogi were in the news, labelling them as the «pancake murders». Immediately Yue and Sugio meet Kameda, who lost weight too and had two friends «splattered» after they found his stash. Three friends can’t take it anymore, in both not eating the honey and not knowing what «not getting caught» means, so they start eating the honey again, which causes Sugio to splatter in front of them.

After that, Yue loses her sanity, and throws into the river, believing that «the thing» will not get her there. Unfortunately she is wrong, because something comes from the sky and crashes her.

Shortly afterwards, Kameda travels to South America, to get more of the honey, and after following the map left by Ogi in his wallet, he discovers that it comes from a monstrous tree with branches long enough to reach anywhere in the world, like something of World Tree. Despite this, Kameda makes the huge mistake of eating honey from the tree, which resulted in his death, and ending the story.

SYMBOLISM

Ok. Here comes the hard part, because many of Junji Ito fans, myself included, theorised that the author was making a reference to the work of H.P. Lovecraft, and that the infamous tree is actually Shub-Niggurath, or a reference of her, as well as her terrible, destructive influence on humans. Nonetheless I want to add something up. I personally believe that Junji Ito was using body horror to making a social commentary about the dangers of drugs, as well as the dangers of «looking for new thrills» without reflecting on the consequences that they have on us, especially on the youth people, who are the most vulnerable toward this kind of toxic activities.

Furthermore, this reminds me more of the Hounds of Tindalos, from Frank Belknap Long, who, after summoning them, they will always haunt you, appearing on the corners of your home, and butchering you in the worst ways possible.

Tell me what you think on the comments.

CONCLUSION

Splatter Film is another great story from the genius that is Junji ito. Highly recommended if you love his stories.

And let me pass you the links of this story.

JAINITUOS ANIME REVIEWS – CHAINSAW MAN – HOW DID I FEEL ABOUT THIS ADAPTATION

Chainsaw Man

Studio: MAPPA

Genre: Dark Fantasy, Comedy, Horror

Hello my friends. Welcome to another entry of my blog.

Today, I want to make something different, and, as the title says so, I already watch the first episode of the anime adaptation of Chainsaw Man, from Tatsuki Fujimoto, and I am ready to make my own impressions about it, just like I did with the first two episodes of Spy x Family.

To be honest, I was waiting for episode 2 and make this entry, the same thing I did with Spy X Family. Nonetheless, I was so excited about the first episode of Chainsaw Man that I could not resist. And now, I decided to write my first impressions about Episode One, so I will talk about what I watch, and then I make my own opinions, so stay with me and let’s analyse together.

But before I start, I must ask you the typical questions:

Are you guys ok? Feeling healthy?

If the answer is yes, then I am happy.

Now, let’s love Chainsaw together with Chainsaw Man, so back off Leatherface, now Denji is the new sheriff in town.

And speaking of Leatherface, I will something interesting about the opening, something that must of you notice indeed.

CHAINSAW MAN

Ok. I don’t think is necessary for me to go again with the plot of Chainsaw Man, because I already talk about the manga in a previous entry, posted in July, 2021; in fact, I will leave the link here in case anyone is interested to read it.

Hope you guys like it. However, I will summarise the plot in a few paragraphs, just for you.

Based on the manga written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto, Chainsaw Man takes place in a world where humans and devils co-exist, but the latter are mostly a threat for mankind so there are Devil Hunters, most of them work on the Public Safety in Japan. Denji is an extremely unlucky boy, because he inherited a monstrous debt from his father, and now he must pay by killing devils, aided by a little one called Pochita, who has the appearance of a chainsaw. Denji likes in the most extreme poverty, and he longs for a normal life.

One day, his employers, the Yakuza, betray him by offering as a sacrifice for the Zombie Devil, and Denji is butchered (to put it lightly), but then he makes a deal with Pochita, the devil will mix with his heart, in exchange of Denji living a normal life. On that moment, Denji is reborn is a devil with chainsaw in his arms, and a chainsaw for head, and kills the Zombie Devil.

The morning after, a devil hunter from Public Safety, called Makima, arrives to the scene, and offer Denji a place on her corps. After accepting the offer, he beings hunting devils as Chainsaw Man.

Now, MAPPA studio has been working in this anime since quite a lot time, and they released the first teaser trailer in 2021, and for a while, we had to wait, receiving absolute no news. Then, throughout 2022, MAPPA released… I think two more trailers, until Episode 1 was released on Wednesday, October 12th.

Now. Let’s get the episode.

EPISODE 1

On the first minute, Episode One starts with Denji checking the remaining debt, which is over 38 million yens, and in order to pay a little bit, he sold his right eye, one of his kidneys, and a testicle, but he still prefers to kill Devils, for they pay at least 300,000. After killing what looks like a tomato devil, he goes back to his home with Pochita, to eat bread and go to sleep. That is basically what he can do after killing the devil, because the Yakuza took the rest from him. At his place, Denji starts wondering how people live normal lives, and confesses he wants to get laid before dying.

Later, we got a flashback, in which Denji visited his father’s grave, who clearly took his life without paying anything of the debt. After receiving a vicious threat from the Yakuza boss, Denji meets a mortally wounded Pochita, and takes the opportunity to make a big deal – Denji will give Pochita a chunk of blood, something that saves a Devil, and in exchange, Pochita helps Denji with his debt, creating a very close friendship, like a dog and his master.

And I got to say that feeling sorry for Denji is an understatement. He only got a deadbeat dad who left him with a lot of problems, and the depressing colour palette and the sad expression on Denji’s face makes it more heartbreaking.

To make things worse, Denji vomits blood before he can sleep, and reveals that his mother apparently died from a similar affliction. Some time later, the Yakuza boss calls Denji again for another hunt, so he is picked up and send into an abandoned factory.

Or that what it seems.

Because, shortly afterwards, Denji is stabbed on the back by his former employers. He tries to escape to safety, but is pointless, the zombies get him and kill him in the worst way possible.

And I am glad to say that none of the content was that censored, because the violence of the moment adds to the dark tone. And I almost cried, because Denji was not a bad person, and he got indeed one of the worst deaths of anime in 2022.

On his death, we get into a flashback, Denji talks to Pochita again about his dream, to live a normal life, and that if anything happens to him, Pochita will be left alone, so Denji, literally, gives Pochita permission to possess him.

Which, of course, happens, and then… we got a very amazing moment in which the Chainsaw Devil debuts on animation, at least in the official one, not fanarts.

The rest we all know it. Denji defeats the Zombie Devil, then comes Makima to recruit him, offering a chance to live a normal life.

And there. We got Episode One of Chainsaw Man.

IMPRESSIONS

Ok. I will start with the very first thing that hooked me of episode one – the animation. This is probably one of the best animations I have ever seen from MAPPA studio, if not the best, surpassing even Jujutsu Kaisen, Takt Op. Destiny, Kakegurui and Attack on Titan: The Final Season.

Possibly, for me, the only animation that can actually compete in quality and colours with Chainsaw Man is Dorohedoro.

Sometimes I can’t help but wonder what will happen if MAPPA does a crossover between Dorohedoro and Chainsaw Man, indeed something epic will occur. But I am concerned, because this season of Chainsaw Man will only have 12 episodes, and as some of you know, a 12-episode cour, for me, can be a Red Flag.

On the other hand, I should not be surprised, especially because there is no doubt that they put a lot of budget on this animation.

Overall, the story of the episode is pretty good. It really respected the events of the manga, for the most part, and the violence and gore are full-on; all the tone remained intact, for me, a clear signal of the passion of the studio and the respect toward Tatsuki Fujimoto.

Now, the ending is pretty good. Vaundy performs CHAINSAW BLOOD with amazingness. Don’t believe me? Here is the link of the song.

And finally we got the other sweet part of the episode – the intro. KICKBACK, by Kenshi Yonezu is one of the best songs of 2022. But that is not all.

I promise you, my friends, that I was literally spending the whole night listening to this song. But there is something better than the opening – the movie references. It is well known that Tatsuki Fujimoto adores movies, just like I do, and the opening pays homage to that side of his. Remember when I mention Leatherface? Well…

And this is only one. There are pretty obvious references to Quentin Tarantino, Joel and Ethan Coen, and possibly the greatest image of Power ever.

Come on. Admit it. It was you dream to see Power in bikini with a clear reference to Thor: Love and Thunder.

Ok. that is all I will say, because it will better that everyone finds the rest of the references by themselves.

And Power… you will always be as hot as Akane Shinjou, Rikka Takarada or Mona Megistus.

And there you go.

Thanks for stepping by. See you around. I will go and play with my Chainsaw…. after beating DOOM with just the Chainsaw.

JAINITUOS ANIME REVIEWS – SUMMER TIME RENDERING – MY FIRST IMPRESSIONS (ONE OF THE BEST ANIME OF SUMMER)

Summer Time Rendering

Studio: OLM

Genre: Supernatural, Mystery, Suspense

Hello my friends.

Welcome to another entry of my blog.

For now, stay with these words.

In 2021, it was Invincible.

What do I mean with this sentence? You will find out soon. For now, I want to say that I have time off, so I can watch some anime that I found fascinating, and that it is become trending these days, just like Spy X Family and Shikimori-san Is not just a Cutie. And what better than something that can exceed your expectations?

Especially after some unexpected story elements. What is true is that this anime in particular is going to stay with me for the rest of the year, if not the rest of my life. Having said that, I am happy to present to you…

Summer Time Rendering.

But first, I must ask you guys the same questions:

Are you feeling ok? Feeling healthy?

If the answer is yes, then I am very happy.

Now, let’s value the previous summer with Summer Time Rendering.

PREMISE

Based on the manga written and illustrated by Yasuki Tanaka, and published by Shueisha, Summer Time Rendering (サマータイムレンダ or Samā Taimu Renda), tells the story of Shinpei Ajiro, who was raised by chef Alain Kofune, as well as the daughters of the latter, Ushio and Mio. Shinpei was living in Tokyo for two years previous of the story, but when he received the news of Ushio drowning near the beach, he returns to his hometown to attend the funeral, but after a very heavy nightmare, and an unfortunate meeting with a woman with glass and big bust, he discovers that Ushio didn’t actually drown, she was strangled to death according to the autopsy, which found some marks on her neck. From that moment, Shinpei must discover the truth of Ushio’s death and the horrifying mysteries surrounding the island.

Summer Time Rendering was published from October 23, 2017 to February 1, 2021 (much to my surprise), in a total of 13 volumes. And for those who do not know, OLM is the same studio that animated…

Komi-san Can’t communicate

And… Thank you heavens… Summer Time Rendering has 25 episodes, which means we have a lot to introduce as much story, characters and their development as possible.

There is a very curious fact about the mangaka, Yasuki Tanaka, and that is one of his previous assistants was Kohei Horikoshi, a name that needs no presentation.

Right?

Summer Time Rendering was released on April 15th, 2022, and it is been released on Disney+. Yep? What did you expect? You thought I would say Crunchyroll. Right? Moreover, some of the voice talent includes Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro Kamado, Vanitas), and Yoko Hikasa (Rias Gremory, Emi Yusa)

Finally, one of the best elements of Summer Time Rendering so far is its opening – Hoshi ga Oyogu» (星が泳ぐ, «The Stars Swim») performed by Macaroni Enpitsu. It combines a very subtle, but powerful mixture between summer and mystery that perfectly embodies the tone of the story.

Here are the TV and the real version for you to enjoy.

STORY

Summer time and… guns?

That’s right!!!!

I have to admit that I was saving Summer Time Rendering for later, because I was watching Spy x Family, Skeleton Knight, Shikimori-san, Dawn of the Witch and Miru Tights, but when, for some random reason, I meet a clip from YouTube that really shocked me up.

I was overwhelmed, just like when I saw Omni-Man killing the Guardians.

When I saw the first key visual and some promotional material from Summer Time Rendering, I thought it was a comedy, or at least a slice-of-life centred on the summer, similar to Anohana. But… No. And over time, I saw the concepts of the disturbing moments and of the antagonists of this anime, and the more I saw, the more curious I became about Summer Time Rendering. Honestly. I could barely think in anything else (But that didn’t affected my job performance, luckily.) So I decided to go little by little, first watching the opening, and start going to Star+ to watch whatever material was available for me. And trust me. I really liked the story.

It was a nice departure from anime like Yuru Camp and Anohana, giving a pretty nice mixture of drama, horror, mystery, supernatural and… time travel. It was like Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi, one of the my favourite anime of all time

Or Erased.

From the moment one, Summer Time Rendering established the type of tone that the series wants, it has that atmosphere of the summer that really bliss you a lot, but also that sense of grief and loss when a close relative passes away, recreating that feeling we all empathise with, that realistic feeling, and then…

Remember what I said about Invincible in 2021? Well, that Amazon Prime Video series shocked because I was not expecting something as gory and crude, not even matching The Boys, making me realise that Invincible is not to be ignored. Ah yes! What Invincible did with in 2021 Summer Time Rendering did it to me in 2022. And of course, there is still at least 177 days left, but it is going to be hard for any other anime to shock me like that this year.

Unless it is Chainsaw Man.

And that is something that indeed I must praise form Summer Time Rendering. It knows how to handle the violence that its plot requires. The anime is not shy in the violence, and I love that because it develops the realism; it is actually pretty good that Summer Time Rendering is not afraid of being crude when it is to be crude, because after watching a lot of Disney, Sony and MCU crap that softens and censors violence more than necessary, the change done by Summer Time Rendering is more than welcome.

But it never overstays it. The blood and violence is an element at the service of the suspense and the horror, giving enough time to both to be introduced and developed with the story, and showing how much the characters are affected b y them in the best, most organic way possible.

Another great element of Summer Time Rendering is the animation. The colours match the brightness of the day and the calm and darkness of the night, and when necessary, enhances the horror.

Finally, the pacing and the rhythm are simply correct, because it brings the story right to us, with the perfect amount of time to assimilate it, and the perfect writing to be solid. Yes. Summer Time Rendering is well-written, and after you get the first three episodes, you really want to know more of it.

But… be prepared for episode 12, because if for you the first episodes were too much, episode 12 will test your stomach power

CHARACTERS

The characters are also very well-established. At first glance, you might think that some of them are cliched, for instance, the typical kind-hearted teenager (Shinpei), the cutesy imouto (Mio), the sneaky best friend (So), the mysterious woman with a lot of experience (Hizuru), and the tsundere female lead (Ushio), but then you see their true personalities, being unfolded with the path of the story, and proving they are as likely by their own merit, especially Shinpei, Mio and Ushio.

I want to make honourable mention to Mio, because she helped me to value the characters a bit more. One of the criticisms that I read from Summer Time Rendering was the big amount of fanservice, and yes… it has fanservice, mostly from Mio, but to my surprise, not just the fanservice is minimal; turns out that Mio is a more likeable character than I thought, being the best emotional support to Shinpei, aling with So and Ushio.

Finally, we got Hizuru.

It was also because of her that my interest of Summer Time Rendering hooked me up. First I saw her as a really attractive strong woman, but then I found it that she is more badass than I thought. I don’t want to spoil you anything, but trust me, watch the episodes and you will love Hizuru, as well as the rest of the characters of this fantastic anime.

CONCLUSION

Without a doubt, Summer Time Rendering is one hell of an experience. I hope that it maintains its quality and storytelling, because if it does, it will indeed become of the best anime of 2022. Meanwhile, I must brace myself for some intense emotion and a lot of bloody moments for the second part of this great series.

And many some cameos from Komi-san.

And trust me… you will enjoy it.

Thanks for stepping by my friends, and thanks for those who read my entry. Soon I will come back with some sweet stuff.

Bye.

…..

Wait!! What happened to me? Was I drawn in the wall?

JAINITUOS ANIME REVIEWS – JOJO’S BIZARRE ADVENTURE: STONE OCEAN – MY OWN IMPRESSIONS

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean

Genre: Adventure, Fantasy, Supernatural

Studio: David Production

Hello my friends. Welcome to another entry of my blog.

After going on an adventure on a Galaxy, far, far away, with Star Wars Visions, I decided to go back to Earth to a very bizarre adventure… Well. Not really. But right now I want to write about a very funny experience that I got the last weekend, and I was about to watch the other three episodes of Spy X Family, as well as Shikimori-san, but before I realise, I was hooked on Netflix watching a really sweet anime, so I was thinking to Stand firm and watch everything to avoid another Standoff.

Yeah. That last part didn’t make too much sense.

Anyway… I adore JoJo.

Huh… I was talking about JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.

I remember that it was 2012, my final year of Deakin, and then, shortly before graduation, I was introduced to this series called JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, about a young British man, called Jonathan Joestar, whose father adopted Dio Brando, and despite being given hips of love, Dio attempted to usurp Jonathan’s place as the head of the Joestar family and his love, Erina Pendleton; luckily Jonathan stops Dio, who turns into a vampire with a mythical object, called Stone Mask, that turns Dio into a vampire. Now, Jonathan must gather new allies and stop Dio with the help of the technique of Ripple.

Thanks for that, Wikipedia.

All the first series got a fantastic soundtrack, including a sweet opening and the famous 1972 song, «Roundabout» by the progressive band «Yes», as ending.

By the way, this first series is called Phantom Blood, and its continuation features Erina and Jonathan’s grandson, Joseph in the 1930s, with the name of Battle Tendency. After the sweet success of the first series, David Production spawned three more anime based on the subsequent arcs of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure – Stardust Crusaders, Diamond is Unbreakable and Golden Wind.

And the iconic…. ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA!!

My point is that, as of 2022, ten years after the release of Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency, I watch on Netflix the sixth series of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure – Stone Ocean. And, to be honest, I waited months for watching it completely. And… it was the same essence of its predecessor, yet, it manages to feel fresh.

And, since I am here, I must ask for a question:

Are you guys ok? feeling healthy?

If the answer is yes, then I am happy.

Now, let’s get into a Stand… with JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure – Stone Ocean.

PREMISE

Set ten years after Golden Wind, and twelve years after Diamond is Unbreakable, Stone Ocean follows the daughter of Jotaro Kujo, Jolyne, who is sentenced to 15 years after being involved in a car accident and being framed of murder, she is sent to the Green Dolphin Street Prison. Once there, she is given a special power, called Stand, for a pendant, gift from her father. Afterwards, Jolyne is suddenly visited by Jotaro, who she barely know, who reveals her that it was a disciple of dio Brando who framed her of the murder, just where another disciple of Dio, Johngalli A. attacks them. In the battle, another Stand called Pale Snake steals both the memory disc from Jotaro, as well as his Stand Disc, Star Platinum.

Now Jolyne is determined to find the real culprit, as well as recovering the two stolen discs. Where she gathers some great allies, another inmate, called Ermes Costello, who receives a Stand from the pendant, F.F, or Foo Fighters, a water-based sentient Stand, Emporio, a young boy who was raised in Green Dolphin, and Weather Report, a Stand user with no memories of his past.

Just like the previous series of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Stone Ocean was in charge of David Production. But I must confess a secret – I thought that all the franchise was animated by MAPPA Studio.

I hope I wasn’t the only one.

Anyway. Stone Ocean has great voice seiyuu, including Fairouz Ai (One-Punch Man) as Jolyne, Mutsume Tamura (Keep Your Hands off Eizouken!!) as Ermes, and Mariya Ise (The Promised Neverland) as F.F., and of course, Daisuke Ono as Jotaro.

All the episodes of Stone Ocean were released in December 1, 2021 on Netflix. And the soundtrack, just like in Phantom Blood, is fantastic, including Distant Dreamers, from British singer Duffy.

STORY

There is one word that can describe Stone Ocean – Big!!! Everything is big in the sixth series of JoJo’s the animation is big, the action scenes are big, the backgrounds are big, and the character development are big as well.

From the beginning, we are prepared with the great colour palette for something that was going to be as entertaining as Stardust Crusaders. And form me, even though I have watched Phantom Blood, Battle Tendency and Stardust Crusaders, I am still amazed of how awesome the battle scenes are in Stone Ocean. All the time there is that factor of surprise and creativity that engages you into the battle. Just like its predecessors, Stone Ocean puts a lot of tension and unpredictability in all the actions scenes, from the moment Jolyne arrives to Green Dolphin, until her first encounter with Gwess. Personally my favourite moment is when Ermes and Jolyne fight F.F.

And the body the later adopts.

She is indeed one of my favourite characters.

Furthermore, Stone Ocean takes its time to develop the different Stands of the story, exploiting their presence in a colourful, incredible animation that really adopts the passion of Hirohiko Araki in his art, and despite Stardust Crusaders is one of the best stories in this sense, Stone Ocean manages to maintain the spark of JoJo’s intact.

Also, the setting of a state prison gives a lot of identity to the story.

Believe me. Stone Ocean will always surprise you.

But, sometimes, I do not know exactly where some of the designs come from. What is the author thinking in some of them?

But that’s one of the elements that you can always enjoy from Stone Ocean.

Finally, one great gift for the fans, or sweet fanservice, is the appearance of Jotaro.

If you enjoyed the last series of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, you will definitely enjoy Stone Ocean.

And the characters are cool, with incredible designs, and all of them, even the minor characters are memorable. In fact, I remember the antagonists and all of the prison guards as much as our protagonist.

Like I said, F.F. is one of my favourite characters, but I also love Ermes Costello.

Trust me. You can choose your favourite.

CONCLUSION

This is a great, fun entry of the franchise we all love. And even though you are not a great fan, you will definitely have fun with it, either for curiosity or for fan loyalty. But in whichever case, this is an anime you can’t miss, especially if you have Netflix.

So do like Jolyne – sacrifice escaping to the outside world and watch JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure – Stone Ocean.

And thanks for those who read my previous review of Star Wars: Visions, Irina. Hope you have enjoyed it.

Now. I am going back to space. Jotaro… Can I get some help?
